Bulk add IP addresses to object groups in Panorama

L1 Bithead

Hello,

I have several IP addresses I need to add to an existing Object group and I keep reading you can do either CSV import or use CLI.
Does anyone know the best way to do this since we are using Panorama to manage other firewalls?

Thank you,

Hi @cruz77 ,

I don't know of any CSV import feature.  I only know CLI -> https://knowledgebase.paloaltonetworks.com/KCSArticleDetail?id=kA10g000000ClHNCA0.

For Panorama, if the objects will be in Shared, it's easy, "set shared address|address-group".  If they will be in a Device Group, use "set device-group <name> address|address-group".

The best way to see the set command syntax for anything is to issue the command "show | match <unique-name-of-item" to see where it is in the config (assuming you have changed the CLI output to set as in the URL above).

Thanks,

Tom
