7.9.100-CE version is it necessary to upgrade with CE version

Hi All,

We have received an update regarding the 7.9.100 CE hotfix for cortex xdr agent.

Can someone please let me know whether this update fixes the upgrade failure of windows 7 Operating system or upgrade failure of cortex xdr agent. Also, is it necessary to upgrade this version if we are not facing any failure issue on the systems.

This update is to fix the Cortex XDR agent Upgrade to 7.9.100 CE on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008 endpoints which was fixed and released in the version 7.9.100.32595. If you are running older agent versions i.e. 7.8 (EOL April 24, 2023) and 7.9(EOL September 11, 2023) and because of approaching EOL if you will be performing upgrade to CE version then upgrade to this CE fix version 7.9.100.32595 would be recommended.
