Does WDAC work side by side Cortex XDR Pro on a fat client?

Hello dear community,

as I know microsoft defender is deactivated by Cortex XDR Pro.

Do you know, if it is possible to use WDAC side by side with Cortex XDR Pro? Is there a relationship between deactivated defender and wdac?

This is not recommended. You can disable Windows security center integration to make Windows Defender work using below settings:

But defender being the native OS AV will take charge of prevention actions in general. Hence, any anti-exploits module can create compatibility issues.

Hello @aspatil,

thank you for writing back. I don't want to activate defender, I want to activate MDAC/WDAC. Isn't it working without defender?
