Thanks for reaching out on LiveCommunity!

Cortex XDR do provide network traffic analysis capabilities with its Network Packet Inspection Engine inside malware profile. XDR leverages Palo Alto's NGFW content like App-ids and threat signatures to inspect and classify traffic. You can increase traffic analysis capabilities by ingesting firewall logs also so that XDR can stitch together logs and provide you additional context.

In order to collect forensic data you need to have Forensics as Add on license. In order to activate it you need to go to Agent Settings profile and go to "XDR pro endpoints".Within it you need to enable "XDR pro endpoint capabilities" first and then enable "Monitor and collect forensics data".

Hi All,

Does XDR have below capabilities -

Network traffic analysis

Digital Forensic capability

I know it has DF with the pro license, just wanted to know more about it also can we just click on it an enable it on the license page or does it require any configurational changes from the infra perspective?

Regards,

Shahwaz

Thanks for replying....just wanted to understand ...is there any prerequisites before enabling Forensics capabilities? Also, will it trigger alerts ?
