&lt;P&gt;There could be the reason that&amp;nbsp;&lt;SPAN&gt; Distribution ID is missing from installation package. &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The easiest way to see if Cortex XDR is registered, is to look at the "InstallerMachine.reg" file inside the agent tech support file and search for "Cortex XDR".&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;The only workaround solution for the affected machine is running the Cortex XDR Cleaner tool to remove the old agent and reinstall the Cortex XDR agent.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

      <description>&lt;P&gt;I have encountered the following issue of failed agent upgrade on a Windows laptop, showing the following message:&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;XDR Agent failed to upgrade from version 8.4.0.51691 to version 8.5.0.624 on LAPTOP-xxxxxxx with error: Windows Installer DB: Current agent registration is missing.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Anyone has experienced this as well? How can I solve the issue and upgrade the agent?&lt;/P&gt;</description>
