    <description>&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;Dears,&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;we now are installing a new server to be our live backup server, we have multiple questions regarding this Kindly need your answer :&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;1- Do we need a License for The Live backup Server????&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;2-Are the configuration and Data are moving in real time from Active Server to standby Server?&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;3-In case our main server is down and we converted the standby to be the production&amp;gt;&amp;gt; and after some time we want to revert backup after solving the issue on the first server, will the data be transferred to the primary one??&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;1) No, it will use the same license as your active server&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;2) If by "in real time" you mean "continuously in an ongoing basis" then yes. Obviously the data takes time to travel between the active and standby, and it also takes some time to be written to DB on the standby but those should be the only delays.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;3) If your active goes offline and you make the standby active without converting the old-active to standby first then the old-active will need to be wiped and manually reconfigured before it can be used again.
