Hi @assubramania, You cannot have 2 accounts with the same name. The username is a unique identifier is XSOAR. The account permission are being overwritten by design, we will resync a user's role when they login.

If you're looking to create a break-glass account, it cannot have the same name as an account that logs in via SSO. Please note that since both the accounts require different usernames, 2 user license slots will also be consumed.

Hi team,

I have a customer, who have enabled SSO login for access to their xSOAR portal. They want to disable CSP login to the XSOAR portal but maintain the account to be used for logging support tickets in CSP. Any action plan or steps please let me know.

Hi @assubramania, by default user in. CSP are also created in the Cortex Gateway. They should not have any automatic access to XSOAR products or tenants till specified in the gateway. To control permissions please refer to the documentation here - https://docs-cortex.paloaltonetworks.com/r/Cortex/Cortex-Gateway-Administrator-Guide/Permission-Management-in-the-Cortex-Gateway

Setting the user permission like below, should prevent them from accessing any XSOAR servers.

Hi Jfernandes1,

Thank you for the update. I have reached the customer about this, today early morning they responded back as below:

The problem is that I have SSO enabled for TISO_CTS user group (and xinli is under the user group) as well as a CSP account for xinli. When I remove the permissions for my account (xinli) in xSOAR, I am unable to login via CSP. However, once I login via SSO, the permissions will be added back for my account (xinli) and I will be able to login via CSP.
