Getting Page can't be dislpyed after fresh install of Expedition

I have just install uBuntu 16.04 server VM and installed Expedition 4 on the server. I followed the video and I ran the command ifconfig in the console after the install. I see the ip address of the server. When I try to browe to that ip address I get page can not be displayed.

Is there something I missed?

Does the VM have internet access?

As part of the installation process, the scripts need to download packages from internet based servers.

If a proxy is used in your network you must then configure the ubuntu server to redirect its internet requests to your web proxy.

Yes the server does have internet access and we do not use HTTP proxies. I have deleted the VM and recreated it thinking that it was something I did, but it still does not work.
