Hi,

I have a project to migrate Palo Alto fw to Palo Alto FW with a different appliance version "5410". I know I can do that without the expedition tool, but as the client is critical environment I have read that and prepared to go with Expedition for better tunning. Anyhow I have downloaded ubuntu-16.04.7-server-amd64.iso and imported it to my vmware. once I tried to install expedition by command "wget https://conversionupdates.paloaltonetworks.com/expedition 1_Installer_latest.tgz" as the documentation and videos I have shown. I get error 404 not found as the screenshot.

Kindly need your advise to fix this and for a better migration experience.

thanks

Hi @SaharaNetwork

Thanks for reaching out.

Please before starting your project notice Expedition is approaching to its Support EOL. You will find more information in this article https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/expedition-articles/important-update-end-of-life-announcement-for-palo-alto-networks/ta-p/589642

To install Expedition please follow the steps defined in the installation guide available in this link: https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/expedition-articles/expedition-documentation/ta-p/215619

The proper OS to use is Ubuntu 20.04 server and the installer script is located here: https://conversionupdates.paloaltonetworks.com/expedition1_Installer_latest.tgz (Check the path, I think you have a blank space in between expedition and 1).

For your reference you can find in the below playlist a set of videos on how to perform clean-up on duplicate objects https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLD6FJ8WNiIqVez8EBeoyRsnQcKTA5FuZ-

Hope this information helps you,

Best
