An upgrade of the GP client seems to have fixed it. Sort of like working with Windows, if it stops working, upgrade first!

Hi,

I'm testing using GP (5.2.7) on PAN OS 10.1.6-hf6.

Users login fine and can access the required resources. However, I have a user that likes to leave the GB sessions up overnight and resume operations the next morning. CIFS access works for a while but then the smb traffic is no longer recognized as smb and so the traffic fails to match the rule that references the app (ms-ds-smbv3).

The user tried logging off GP and logged in - still no access.

I've asked the user to restart explorer.exe, but I havent heard back so the jury is still out for that solution.

Has anyone seen a situation where access to CIFS stopped working mid-session like this? Please reply if you have any ideas.

Thanks

Mike
