topic GlobalProtect 6.2.2 connects automatically despite on-demand is enabled in GlobalProtect Discussions

Hello everyone,

After upgrading GlobalProtect from 5.x to 6.2.2 users started to complain that GP is connecting automatically after logging in to OS. Agent App configuration hasn't been changed and still is On-demand.

There is addressed issue in GP 6.2.1 which should solve this (GPC-18336 - Fixed an issue where the GlobalProtect app got automatically connected after a system reboot even though the connection method configured was On-Demand), however it looks like it is still broken in 6.2.2.

Has anyone else encountered something similar?

Yep me too noticing the same issue - we have a test group that we've deployed 6.2.2 and the client is auto-connecting up upon the system starting up, despite the fact our back-end FW (the GP Portals) are set to manual on demand connection method. I've rolled my client back to 6.2.0 and now don't have the issue. So there's certainly at least a couple of us that are experiencing this (across Win10 and MAC OSX devices)
