Way to disable logon prompt when start Global Protect client

New Global Protect user - I have an odd question regarding the Global Protect client. Is there a way to not have the sign on prompt when you start the client? We load the client at startup of the laptop to provide a way for our help desk to access the laptop in case it loses its trust to the domain and the user cannot login. We are starting to run into issues with some end users that rather than simply close the Global Protect login screen they actually log into the client even if they are connected to the internal network. Looking for a way for this to not pop up and simply have the end user click on the client to open a login prompt. I am not sure what other options are available.

There's not a way to have it accessible and prevent that behavior. I would just take a different route here and setup internal host detection, assuming that the reason you don't want them logging in is due to it using the tunnel configuring internal host detection without an internal gateway would simply not form that tunnel.

That is what we did. Used internal host detection and just do not have anything inside. Now does not matter if they put in credentials. Is a small caviat we have discovered but are thinking it will not be likely for users. Seems to be working so far.
