Implementing checkov for shared modules

Hello Everyone, I am trying to implement Checkov in one of the portal repositories to validate policies and other configurations. However, I am facing an issue with downloading shared Terraform modules present in the One of the project. Somehow, Checkov is unable to download these modules and is giving the following warnings:

2025-07-01 10:09:12,466 [ThreadPoolEx] [WARNI] Module git::https:<link>.TerraformModules//azure//resource-group?ref=main:None failed to load via <class 'checkov.terraform.module_loading.loaders.git_loader.GenericGitLoader'> due to: invalid git url

I did a quick search for this issue but couldn't find an exact solution. Checkov works well when running it before terraform plan. I thought of creating a template out of it (if it would have worked) so that teams could simply use the YAML in their Terraform release pipeline to integrate Checkov.

Does anyone have any idea on this issue? Have you tried integrating Checkov with shared Terraform modules in Azure DevOps repositories?
