topic Certificate installation on device through remote system via REST API in Next-Generation Firewall Discussions

Folks,

As we can see on palo public API docs , Seems it does not have REST API support for certificate management.

Is anyone tried or used REST API calls for certificate management ?

#certificate #REST-API

Hello @OpsGlobalNetsec

I have tried it before using XML-API, more details can be found in the below document:

https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/10-2/pan-os-panorama-api/pan-os-xml-api-use-cases/manage-certificates-api

I don't see REST-API documentation covering certificate management.

This isn't available through the REST API, and I personally tend to tell people to forget that the REST API exists. It's not at feature parity with the XML API, and with it being years since release it doesn't appear like PAN has any intentions to get it there either. I don't see a point in splitting automations across both the REST API and the XML API when the XML API is actually feature complete and the REST API isn't.
