You can't use subinterfaces in a link group. Sounds like you may want to look into path monitoring instead of link monitoring.

Dear all,
I'm trying to set up our link monitor configuration in our 440, and I ran into a problem. Each of our physical interfaces has many subinterfaces and I only want to monitor a few of those, but when I want to form a new Link Group it doesn't allow for subinterfaces to be chosen, just physical interfaces.
Is there a way in which I can form a new link group with subinterfaces? Thanks!

Yes, that's what I've been reading about, I just wanted to be sure about this first. Thanks!

Sorry I forgot to ask in the post (maybe I'll make another entry) If I set up a Link monitor for a physical Interface with many subinterfaces, and only one of those subinterfaces fails, does it trigger a failover? Or do all of them have to fail for that to happen? Thanks again!
