Hi @A.Reid ,

Is your management interface able to communicate with the update server ?

If you do a "request system software check base" or "request content upgrade check" from the CLI but you don't get a response, make sure that your management interface traffic is routed correctly and required rules are in place.

Doing the cli command "debug swm status" can show you the running-active PAN-OS version and possible revertable PAN-OS versions in case you want to revert to a previous working version.

If the software versions fail to list you can also download the PAN-OS version from the support site and then upload/install the file to the firewall.

Hope this helps,

Hi All. I am a novice admin to PANOS so not too technical. Basically we did a firmware uplift from Panos 11.0 to 11.1, this worked fine. We then started uplift and upgrade Panos 11.1.4-h1 however the install seemed to error and close screen (se we could not see error message). Checking the device is still working passing traffic etc. but when checking the admin screen 'device / software' co check the status of the 11.1.4-h1 release we actually see no versions listed at all, just a blank grey list, even when we force 'check now'. So without a version list I am unsure as to what to try next. I wondered if there was any harm in retrying 11.1.4-h1 again but of course I have no versions in the list to select from ? Really appreciate any advice if anyone has experienced similar. Our current situation is device 1 is at Panos 11.1 and the device 2 is at 11.1 with 11.1.4-h1 that seems partially installed.
