Hello,

eal-world AI in Palo Alto firewalls isn't just a "someday" concept—it's actively being used to automate the grunt work of security. Instead of manually hunting for redundant rules, the Policy Optimizer uses machine learning to identify "shadow" or unused rules and suggests precise App-ID replacements based on actual traffic behavior. Beyond cleanup, AIOps tools now predict hardware failures or session overloads before they crash your DC, while the new Strata Copilot lets you troubleshoot by simply asking, "Why is this traffic blocked?" in plain English.

Hey Guys,

We are using PA firewalls in our DCs. A lot of focus in our organisation (like everywhere) is on use of AI.

So I was wondering how are you guys leveraging AI in Firewall Management? Are you using it for any policy cleanup, shadow rules identification or simply automating firewall configuration push?

There are a lot of examples that AI "can do" but have you implemented AI to drive anything on the firewall in real world?

Appreciate any feedback!
