Hi,

I would like to know if there is a method to delete multiple rules associated to a single ip address from panorama ?? That single ip is permitted on several firewalls for communication and the server holding that ip was decommissioned and so the rules relating to it need to be cleaned up from all the existing firewalls.

I am able to get bulk list of firewall rules from Global search from panorama, but removing that particular ip from each of the listed firewall rules by looking int to each rule seems to be painful task, hence checking if there is any shortcut way to get this done faster .

Please advise if any..

Thanks !!

You may try the solution inder :

https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/t5/general-topics/delete-objects-from-many-policies/td-p/357092

Maybe if you added a tag under all rules that have the ip addrees this would have been easier as shown in https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/11-0/pan-os-admin/policy/use-tags-to-group-and-visually-distinguish-objects/view-rules-by-tag-group but maybe this is not the case or if you used a shared object ip address type then the rules can be used without deletion by just adding or removing the ip addresses in this object https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/9-1/pan-os-admin/virtual-systems/virtual-systems-overview/shared-objects-for-virtual-systems .

Also automations with Ansible or Terraform or Palo Alto XSOAR are possible but you will need to script this.
