Adding serial Number to panorama with python

from panos.panorama import Panorama

panorama=Panorama('ipaddress','username','password')

devicegroup=panorama.commit('set mgt-config devices "007957000288446"')

panorama.commit()

code is working but device is not added to the panorama.

what is the PAN-OS version of the Panorama/device being added?

from 10.1, the method to add a device has changed.
