topic Template Stack Override Issue in Panorama Discussions

Hey all, I was hoping someone may be able to help me out with something as I cannot seem to find the answer in documentation.

We use many Templates and then also Template stacks in our environment. We recently noticed while adding some IPs to our Management ACL on a Template, that they were not committing to the firewalls correctly from Panorama. After some investigation, we noticed someone on our collective team had gone in at some point and made a change to the MGT ACLs on the Template Stacks, which was causing that portion of the Template to be useless and only use the Template Stack values for that.

Is there a way to revert the Template Stack to not override the Template value?

Hello @NelsonE3

thanks for posting.

If your question is whether there is a way to prevent template override, then I am afraid the answer is no. The only thing I can think of is to set an email alert to get notified when somebody performs template override. This does not solve your issue, but you can get at least notified that somebody performed it.

Kind Regards

Pavel
