ideally you will have all of your configuration in panorama. in that case you simply connect the new firewall to panorama, join it to the right device group and template, push the config down and you're back up and running

Hi all

I have a HA PA pair which managed by Panorama in our environment, and we found the passive one is unable to login locally, and cannot commit new configuration to the passive one thru Panorama. So we do factory default of the passive one and configure the management IP and admin user again.

After we do factory default, we joined the HA first but we got error when we sync the configuration from active to passive and it said the HA2 interface is invalid, and we found that the interface reverted to a non HA one. So may I know what is the proper way to add a factory default PA back to the HA and Panorama? Should we rejoin the PA back to Panorama first and push the configuration from Panorama first, and then setup HA? If yes, reassoicate the firewall with Panorama work in ths case?
