Server error : Failed to add authkey. Failed to update DB.

Trying to simply generate an authkey in Pano so as to add devices. Getting the message:
Server error : Failed to add authkey. Failed to update DB.

Sometimes it says I'm already "using that name" but there are zero valid authkeys present.

Any suggestions?

I had this issue after downgrading my panorama instance. Check to make sure that the mongo db is actually running and is not stopped.
"show system software status"
That command should show the status of all the process running on your box.

I was able to clear the mongo db error by running the following command.

"debug mongo clear instance mdb"

This command will clear all old data out of the db so make sure you have a good backup of your policies. After that command is run restart your box.
