However, use of regular expressions for recognizing some of our other legacy application protocols has turned out to be either not practical or not possible. Hence, we would like to determine whether it is possible to create custom App-ID objects that call out to custom-developed code (e.g. C, C++ or Java code) that would then perform the job of protocol signature recognition.
