Hi All

I'm new to ansible and would like to start using it to automate management tasks on Palo alto firewalls. We have a number of firewalls already in production managed by a panorama server. Is it possible to start using playbooks to manage the existing configuration or we have to convert the configuration to ansible code first?

Would someone advise steps we should follow to achieve this goal.

You can use ansible to configure Firewalls with existing configuration. you don't need to convert it as you can simply use ansible to send relevant commands to the Firewalls or Panorama to create objects, rules etc. same as you can on the GUI or CLI
