Palo Alto Networks Exam Policy Violation (NETSEC-PRO)

Hello everyone.

I recently took the Palo Alto NetSec-PRO exam at an authorized Pearson Vue testing center. On the day of the exam, I had no problems. Everything was monitored and supervised.

I passed the exam with a "Provisional Pass" status. I researched it and found that Palo Alto performs a kind of check on the exam.

I waited, and received an email stating that I was banned and that my result was invalidated. I was also banned for 1 year from Palo Alto for any other exam.

Has anyone else experienced this? I was given the right to reply by email, and I am still in contact with them, sending all the evidence that the exam was properly administered.

To provide some context: Palo Alto Networks, like many major technology vendors, uses post-exam forensics to ensure the integrity of its certifications. A 'Provisional Pass' means the raw score was high enough to pass, but the result is subject to a statistical and behavioral review by the Certification Security Team.

If a result is invalidated and a ban is issued, it is typically because the security review identified patterns that do not align with our exam policies.

Regarding your next steps:

The Appeals Process: Since you are already in contact with the certification team, you are in the correct and only channel for resolution. That team is separate from standard technical support and community staff.
Evidence: Continuing to provide your documentation and evidence of the testing center's environment is the right course of action.
