Each mapping has a timeout lifetime, after which it will expire if not updated again. The timeout length is settable from the User-ID settings.</P><P>&nbsp;</P><P>When the VM server goes down, the PA will stop getting updates, but will continue to use the existing cached mappings until the timeout expires.
