"Error in getting config lock"

Hi,

We encountered an error "Error in getting config lock" on the web gui and an error "Server error: Error in getting config lock" when we tried to run commands on the CLI. This issue has been resolved by the TAC with the help of the root engineer by using the root account to restart the management server.

But we still want to know what would be the possible root cause of this error?

the PAN OS version is 9.0.13 and the device is PA3050

Hi @arbantayan ,

Possible reasons are memory leaks. PAN-158654 and PAN-158439 (fixed in 9.1.11).

Addressed Issues in PAN-OS 9.1.11

Note that PAN-OS 9.0 has recently become end-of-life so I would recommend upgrading to 9.1.x
