Failed to install licenses. An initial license cannot be applied for renewal of license

When I tried to activate the license with auth code it prompt me this error

" Failed to install licenses. An initial license cannot be applied for renewal of license"

The initial license is trial license, how should I remove the trial from portal ?

Open an admin ticket with TAC and they can just strip the trial license on the portal on the backend.
