deleting the old license key (delete license key url* ) from the CLI and adding the new ADV-URL key should resolve that issue

Hi,

With legacy URL filtering no longer available we've renewed our subs with Advanced URL Filtering instead.

The license for this appeared in the support portal but did not come down to the firewall itself (still showing the legacy sub which expires in a week). I can manually download/upload the key from the CSP to the firewall and now it shows both legacy and advanced URL license on the firewall.

In the GUI the legacy license still shows as "Active" (per screenshot).

How do I make sure Advanced starts getting used and ensure this is seamless to users?

What will happen when legacy expires?

Note: This has happened on multiple firewalls under multiple CSPs so is not a unique case but I can't find anything official in the documentation portal to explain what has and will happen.

Thanks

Thanks for that. I did try that originally but the next time the firewalls go out and do a license check they just pull down the old license again. I've logged it with TAC. I think they intend to delete or expire the old license in the back end.

Hi @SARowe_NZ

I belive you don't have to worrie if you don't see commit warning saying that URL filtering is used, but no valid license is found. Even if the legact URL filtering expire license is retrieved again it shouldn't replace the already active Adv URL license.

I agree it will be better for TAC to remove the expired legacy license, this way it will much more understandable, but you shouldn't have any issues with firewall operation.
