    <description>&lt;P&gt;The "=" characters are the padding of the base64-encoded attachment. The base64 string should always be a multiple of 4 characters (excluding the carriage returns/line feeds added by the email format), if not it is padded with "=" to be a multiple of 4. If Outlook doesn't decode/display the attachment correctly I would suspect either the padding is wrong or the email attachment boundary markers are wrong, and Gmail is just better at working around slight errors. Determining exactly what is wrong would require a lot of in depth debugging.&lt;/P&gt;</description>

      <title>PDF Report outlook missing attachment</title>

      <description>&lt;P&gt;Hi, my firewall is set to send PDF reports daily, attachments are usually not visible when receiving emails using Outlook.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I tested sending reports to Gmail, but I can't see attachments when I use Outlook to receive emails. But you can see in the web version of Gmail&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;Studying the source code of this email found that Outlook can display attachments normally as long as the = string is removed.&lt;/P&gt;
