&lt;P&gt;It's not secure and not best practice to implement an app-override.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;As you mentioned, you will bypass L7 inspection with app-override which is less secure.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;However in some cases you might want to implement it to troubleshoot or workaround a certain issue.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;In case you need to configure an app-override it's best to narrow it down as much as possible.&lt;/P&gt;
