Hi everyone - I have a customer who is looking to have GlobalProtect fail-over along with ISP fail-over in a single PA cluster.

Currently I am using PBF and a single VR for theI SP failover and it works fine EXCEPT when it fails over there is no GP VPN.

We purchased a portal license and I have added that to the cluster as well as cfg'd the second vpn.

I'm thinking this may be routing as Monitor>Policy shows the incoming connection , but nothing else and they are very small, like 0 or 230...

Currently there is only 1 VR.

Question (finally) - if I add a 2nd vr, will I still be able to use pbf?? Has anyone ever cfg'd this?

thanks.,

Don

Hi Don,

PBF policy lookup is always done prior to regular route table lookup.

Creating several VR's won't impact your PBF policy at all.

If your traffic does not match your PBF policy first, a route table lookup will be done in VR containing your ingress interface.

Regards

-Nicolas
