Hello,

In Panorama, DNS Proxy configuration, if you change the 'location' to 'shared' then you will get the option to enter DNS IP addresses (no need to select DNS server profile).

This should work in your case.

Panorama and PA-440 DNS proxy

Greetings,

I am running Panorama and PanOS 10.2.3 with 30 PA-440s running sdwan.

I'm trying to configure DNS proxy for a new business requirement and am having issues.

The config for dns proxy is different from Panorama to the PA-440.

On Panorama you create a DNS server profile and tie that to the DNS proxy.

On the PA-440 you configure the DNS servers in the DNS proxy and there is no DNS server profile.

When I create the DNS proxy configuration I get a few different errors, mainly the interface I assign the proxy to (all my LAN subinterfaces) the error I get is the interface is not valid.

If I remove all the interfaces I get a message saying the DNS server profile is invalid.

Q: Can you deploy a DNS proxy config from Panorama to PA-440's?
