Management Interface down

Hello,

i have the problem that I have two PA-445 as HA clusters where the management interface does not have an uplink.
I've already tried several cables and switches, but unfortunately I can't get an uplink on the interface.
There is no spanning tree on the switches, all ports are active.
Type: 1000T, Mode Auto, Flow disabled.
Switch port: VLAN 112, mode access

From the PA:

Name: Management Interface
Link status:
Runtime link speed/duplex/state: unknown/unknown/down
Configured link speed/duplex/state: auto/auto/auto

Is there anything special about a cluster that needs to be done in order to get both management interfaces running?

Hi @Frank_Liebelt ,

Can you try connecting your laptop/desktop directly to each one of the PA-445s and test connectivity to the GUI from your computer?

If you are able to connect then there is likely an issue with physical layer, speed/duplex, or vlan config.

I would that the link speed and duplex settings on both the firewall's management interface and the switch port are set to auto. Then I would verify that VLAN 112 is correctly configured on your network. Do you currently have devices connected to VLAN 112 that are connected and can get out to the internet? I would cross-check with other devices in that VLAN.

Hello,

Sorry to ask but are the management interfaces configured correctly? Does the VLAN have an interface where the traffic can be routed in/out of it? Thinking there might have been something missed or misconfigured.

Regards,

Hi

You can all kick me.

One of the stupidest things I've ever done.

Instead of plugging it into the management port, I plugged the cable into the console port.

Working 24 hours straight is definitely too much.

Thank you for your help.
