The process is the same and there's no special considerations that need to take place (outside of whether or not what you're plugging into can actually do 10Gb copper connections and the Cat7 was actually terminated properly).

Hi All,

Anyone deployed a ngfw (pa-3430) using the 10gb ports with a cat7 copper cable yet? same process as normal cat5/6 connection no additional changes needed?

have a deployment for a client with fiber sfp but they did not purchase the sfp modules.. so in a bit of a pickle as needing to put these FWs in as vwire on the fiber connection between a switch and router.. so for interim if i can use the 10gb rj-45 interfaces with cat7 cable might buy us more time.

palo 3430 FWs where port 9-12 are 10mb/100mb/1gb/10gb rj-45 ports.

thanks in adv
