BGP enabled BFG Profile, 1 of the peer will marked down by bfd control detection time expired for BFD session.

2 BGP peer .

1 bfd profile can be used for BGP .

1 of the peer will trigger a Critical/high system log.

The log is

BFD state changed down for BFD session 6 to x.x.x.x on interface x.x Protocol :BGP

BFD control detection time expired for BFD session 6 to neighbor x.x.x.x on interface x.x Protocol :BGP

The BGP peer should be failed ,restarted and established.

This will happen 2-3 time per week in the system log.

What can i do for this situation ?

(no related log for the other BGP peer. )

Hi @Martin_Chung ,

Since its only affecting one peer, Id double check and look for issues like packet drops, high latency, or interface errors just for a first glance to see if anything unusual pops up. Also, there is a helpful KB on Troubleshooting BFD.
