Hello Team,

We are implementing a physical interface under vsys Data-center , with subinterface (Eth1/200 --> Data-center) and other subinterface (Eth1/300--DeptA) is assigned to other vsys called DeptA. knowing that the physical interface is without zone . How does the communication will be authorized in the security policies and with the use of external Zones. does this scenario could be done or not logical behavour.

Thanks and need help for this point ASAP. before implementing in the infras of the customer.

Hello,

Each VSYS is its own virtual Palo Alto, so each VSYS will need security policies to allow the traffic.

https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/pan-os/11-0/pan-os-admin/virtual-systems/virtual-systems-overview

Hope this helps.
