topic License Usage AuthCode in General Topics

Hi there

We are trying to track license usage as shown here: https://docs.paloaltonetworks.com/vm-series/11-0/vm-series-deployment/license-the-vm-series-firewall/vm-series-models/licensing-api/use-the-licensing-api/track-license-usage

For the call to work, auth code is required. Calling the "devices" endpoint does not include this particular code.

I found the code in the customer service portal when browsing through "Assets", which seems to be retrieved with some internal API calls (see image attached for reference).

However, I can't seem to find documentation on how to get the auth code via some API. I carefully looked through the documents though I might have missed something... at this point in time I found making a post here to be the best idea, thanks for the help!

I'm not sure that there's a way to get all of the auth codes listed under your account via the API. You either would maintain this list elsewhere or pull it through the actual device itself through the API to then run your checks against.

<LI-CODE lang="markup">/api/?type=op&cmd=<request><license><info></info></license></request></LI-CODE>
