PA-VM LAB licensing

We would like to have the possibility to run 3 PA-VMs in a lab environment for training, testing and education purposes. We reached out to our reseller and they told us, that we have these options:

1. "normal credits" (~7000 €)

2. PAN-SOFTWARE-NGFW-LAB with minimum of 500 Credits that we have to purchase (~12.000 €)

We would only need about 45 credits per year if the estimator is correct.

Is there any alternative license solution for a lab environment? I really can't get that kind of budget and I really don't like to train the interns in our production environment.

Even I'm not living in Europe, I think there is no restriction (minimum amount of credits) for purchasing credits. At least I could buy 15 credits in APAC.

If "with minimum of 500 Credits" is true, I believe this is rule in reseller, not palo alto networks.

Thus, I suggest to contact other reseller.
