&lt;P&gt;You can export the config file and import it into a VM, but prior to cutover, there are a few important adjustments to keep in mind since the hardware platforms differ.&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;You will want to review and assign the previous physical interfaces (ethernet1/x) to the appropriate VM-500 virtual interfaces and make sure they are not errored out. Also, make sure zones, NAT, and IP addresses are correct as well. Id also verify the MGMT interface as well.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;

&lt;P&gt;&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;I need to migrate a HW PA850 to VM500 in the same version PanOS. So What is the recommended way to transfer the config? export/import running-config should be OK? Or it could be any issue bacause of diferent device?&amp;nbsp;&lt;/P&gt;
&lt;P&gt;or adding all config commands via CLI?&lt;/P&gt;
