Hello,

Is it possible for the response pages to be hosted externally on a web server or do they have to be hosted from the Palo Alto?

You can but the problem is fetching the user id information , you might want to use xml api to relay the userip mapping to the pa.

Not sure how feasible it would be.

You can redirect captive portal users to a server on the network. You do need to make sure there are policies in place that make that target server reachable.

The server dns name or ip address would go into the redirect host field when you setup captive portal.
