      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;4000 and upwards have dedicated HA interfaces which in some cases must use crossover cables to function properly.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;For 2000 series you use the dataplane for HA and here you dont have any limit of using crossover or not.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If we go for IEEE you must use auto/auto for gbit interfaces which also gives you auto-mdix so it doesnt matter if you use a crossover cable or not.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt;I think &lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;A class="jive-link-external-small" href="https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/message/12078#12078"&gt;https://live.paloaltonetworks.com/message/12078#12078&lt;/A&gt;&lt;SPAN&gt; might be handy in your case.&lt;/SPAN&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
