Is it possible to create email alerts for a virus type threat alert only? With them set as medium i don't want all the medium threat alerts.

Hello markk96,

Currently PAN FW sends alerts based on threat level only (PAN FW does not have an option, specifying a particular threat (virus) type for which the PANFW should forward the email notification). We have had interest in this type of granularity and if it is important I would encourage you to contact your local SE. There are already feature request has been submitted for the same:

Description: Email Alerting based on Type Field in Threat logs

Hi markk96,

That feature is not currently supported. Once a threat is alert (based on the configured profile), that alert would be sent to your email. With current feature set, if you subscribe for medium alerts, you will end up getting all medium threat alerts.

You can contact your local sales/system engineer to file a feature request for this requirement on your behalf. Hope this helps. Thank you.

Hi Mark,

As of now firewall will either send emails for all the MEDIUM threat log or will not send. There is no option to choose granulation in MEDIUM sev logs. Please approach your SE to vote for above mentioned FRs.
