We have a cluster of two PA-5060 running in active-passive mode. Two 10G interfaces are configured as an aggregated interface. They are connected to two Avaya 8600 switches which are running SMLT. Whenever a failover happens, the aggregated interface fails. We have to unplug and re-plug in the cable to make the interface start working again. Shutting down the interfaces and re-activating them doesn't help. Anyone has similar experience?

This configuration is actually a Palo Alto Networks recommended deployment. If you are using 802.3ad for link aggregation, you should have no issues. I would suggest you open a case with support so that the issue can be tracked and hopefully resolved.

-chadd.

If this helps any, we have a client that has 2 x PA-5060 in HA with link aggregation with no issues running 5.0.4 the only difference is an active/active setup rather than active/passive
