hi!

i was wondering what is the time frame for the user agent to "discover" newly added users or security groups, in an LDAP environment?

if such a timer exists - is it configurable?

can the agent be forced to update its database?

Hi,

From the agent, default timing for checking new log events is every second and this timer is configurable.Also for the groups it is 1 hour by default.You can also change that.

How to Configure Group Mapping settings?

Also to refresh group mapping(to force) you can use

debug user-id refresh group-mapping all

so, every 1 hour the agent will check for new groups? what is this timer called?

Hi,

User Identification Timeout on agent contacts the AD server for group membership information, 60 minutes default.
