We have been having issues doing Backup Exec - Windows Remote Agent backups, but only on servers located on vlans that have to traverese the firewall to get back to the media server. We get an error V-79-57344-65072 - The connection to target system has been lost. Backup set canceled. Symantec has basically said it is a networking issue and they can't help us past that.

Only some (not all) the agents that traverse the firewall have problems, but none of the ones on the local vlan of the Backup Exec media server have issues at all.

Has anyone else seen this? It's been going on since November, and I'm just curious if maybe it was a content update around that time that may have changed something? We are exploring a bunch of different possible causes for our issues, but I figured I'd check here to see if anyone else has seen this as well.

Thanks

Rob
