    <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;So after all of this we found that Orion/SolarWinds latest mib db has the mibs for the PaloAlto products.&amp;nbsp; So no mib import was necessary after we upgraded the mib db.&amp;nbsp;&amp;nbsp; However in leaving the OID field in the SNMP VIEW Setup (on the 5050/5020) blank, as instructed,&amp;nbsp; we could not querry any mibs.&amp;nbsp; So in testing we entered 1.3.6 and lo and behold all mibs are now available to Orion/SolarWinds.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Hello all.&amp;nbsp; We are trying to load the mib files into SolarWinds/Orion and it doesn't like the .my extension on the files provided at &lt;A href="https://support.paloaltonetworks.com/index.php?option=com_pan&amp;amp;task=dl_tech_doc&amp;amp;filename=PAN-MIB-MODULES.zip"&gt;https://support.paloaltonetworks.com/index.php?option=com_pan&amp;amp;task=dl_tech_doc&amp;amp;filename=PAN-MIB-MODULES.zip&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Has anyone experienced this?&amp;nbsp; Is this a SolarWinds/Orion issue or can the file extension be changed?&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;thnks in advance&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;vnt90&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;Questions:&lt;/P&gt;&lt;UL&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Does the Solarwinds Orion documentation specify the file format(s) that are required?&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Can it use the .my files provided by Palo Alto Networks?&amp;nbsp;&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Does it require the use of a compiled MIB (.cmi or .cds file format)?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;LI&gt;Does Solarwinds Orion have a "MIB Loading Options" setting that specifies "Direct" or "Compiled File"?&lt;BR /&gt;&lt;/LI&gt;&lt;/UL&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;If it does require .cmi or .cds files, you may want to load the .my file in a MIB browser like "ManageEngine MibBrowser".&amp;nbsp; Its default settings will generate .cmi and .cds file formats when the .my MIB file is loaded.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;This forum thread may also provide you with useful information about loading MIBs in Orion.&amp;nbsp; &lt;A href="http://thwack.solarwinds.com/forums/48/network-management/9/orion-network-performance-monitor/2011/how-to-import-enterprise-mib-f/"&gt;http://thwack.solarwinds.com/forums/48/network-management/9/orion-network-performance-monitor/2011/how-to-import-enterprise-mib-f/&lt;/A&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Best Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P&gt;Jared&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>

      <description>&lt;HTML&gt;&lt;HEAD&gt;&lt;/HEAD&gt;&lt;BODY&gt;&lt;P&gt;That's good to know.&amp;nbsp; The link I posted in my previous post sounded like Solarwinds includes other vendors MIBs in their product instead of allowing end-users to load them directly.&amp;nbsp; It makes sense that the OID field required that you enter .1.3.6 since this is essentially the "root" for all OIDs.&amp;nbsp; I'm glad to hear you were able to get this to work.&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="MsoPlainText"&gt;&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Best Regards,&lt;/P&gt;&lt;P class="MsoPlainText"&gt;Jared&lt;/P&gt;&lt;/BODY&gt;&lt;/HTML&gt;</description>
