We have a user who says once we moved to our new Palo Alto box from Cisco ASA he is having a odd issue.

He claims that Squawkbox works fine as long as he is talking but if he just listens after 2 or 3 min. He looses

his audio until he speaks. To me it sounds like he is having some kind of session time out. But I am new to

Palo and know nothing of Squawkbox app. The user is in a PAT many to one translation set up as a virtual router enviroment . We are running a 5020 on 4.0.7

Anyone else have seen or heard of a similar issue like this please weigh in

Thanks

BF

If possible try to setup on session start and on session end for this particular user.

Or do you perhaps see something this client ip in the logs as it is today?

Because if the PAN blocks you should get a log about this (you might need to setup a specific block and log rule in the bottom because the PAN wont log by default).

Hi Bryan, there could be a number of issues affecting this particular application traffic. Have you checked your traffic logs to confirm what traffic is being generated for this particular user? Also, have you tried creating a custom security policy rule for this particular source user to identify all applications in use by Microsoft flight simulator. If you are able to replicate this traffic while also having access to your PAN device for troubleshooting I recommend you open a ticket with Support for further assistance.
