Hey everyone,

I'm using a PA-2020 on the latest version, 5.0.1. I need to be able to test the end-user experience with Captive Portal. I am also extending some effort to customize the various result pages that users will see, so I need to be able to validate them also once my custom pages are uploaded.

I was thinking that the best way to test these would be to browse directly to the hosted pages on the appliance. Assume that redirect to my Captive Portal page is on an inside DNS name called pan.mydomain.com.

What are the URLs to the following response pages on the appliance:

Antivirus Block (to check appearance)

Application Block (to checkappearance)

Captive Portal Login (to checkappearance, functionality, SSL behavior)

Captive Portal Comfort (to checkappearance)

File Blocking Continue (to checkappearance)

File Blocking Block (to checkappearance)

Thanks!

Hello,

I don't think you can do the 'direct to the hosted pages'. (I could be wrong tho'!)

I tested my URL Filtering set up as follows:

        - Created a URL Filtering Profile for testing

        - Uploaded the Response Pages

        - Built a policy (rule) that had my IP address as the source and Internet Zone as destination and assigned the URL Filtering Profile

        - Committed the policy to the PAN

        - Tested

The trick of using my IP (and only My IP) as the source ensures that only I see the Response Page and get blocked until I had everything the way I wanted it.

Thanks
