Antivirus DB not showing up on inactive HA node

Hi,

I have a pair of PA-500 in an active/passive cluster. The Dashboard says that all content is matching between the nodes. However, if I go into Device->Dynamic Update on the secondary node, there is no Antivirus in there. I can only see it on the primary node. When I do a 'request anti-virus upgrade install' on the command line of the inactive node, it installs the latest version, but it still does not show up in Dynamic Updates. When I do a 'request anti-virus upgrade check' it takes a couple of seconds and then shows an empty list (while on the active node it is showing the installed and downloaded versions).

Any ideas? Is this normal? And yes: it is licensed and activated on both nodes.

Hi,

can you try to upload an older version of Antivirus package manually, and install manually.Then from cli check again for upgrade.

Not sure what happened, but the problem solved itself somehow. I just went into Dynamic Updates to upload the older version, and to my surprise, the current version was already showing up. No idea what the problem was.

sometimes this happens especially on the first installation of the device and we solve that by manually installing the dynamic update.

it's fine that you already solved it.
